Thank you for your interest in dining at Bistro49 Southern Bites in Sutter Creek. We take great pride in our fun, relaxed, casual atmosphere and our fantastic food. Your taste buds will soon be on a culinary adventure far beyond the borders of Amador County.  Welcome, traveler.

Here you'll enjoy the lively, upbeat sounds of Bob Marley, Reggae, and Caribbean island-themed music as you explore Chef KC's fabulous Southern, Caribbean and Jamaican-inspired flavors.  

FOODIE'S WELCOME. GIVE US TWO HOURS - YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID.

Our bistro is small and unpretentious, with creaky wooden floors and tight tables. It's a great place for foodies.  We're not a dine-and-dash place, or a stuffy, high-end, fine dining restaurant. Think fine food done right, not fast food done quick. 

Please expect your dinner to last approximately two hours. If you're in a big hurry or you have time-sensitive after-dinner plans, please visit us another day when you have more time to relax and unwind over a bottle of wine. Or two. 

Our gold rush-era building and Wisteria-covered New Orleans-style courtyard are well over 100 years old. Our random assorted chairs, wobbly tables, and mismatched flatware sometimes seem that way, too. Remember, you're coming here for our relaxed vibe and some of the most delicious and creative food in the county, not for fine silverware and crystal water glasses. 

RESERVATIONS ARE FOR FIRST-AVAILABLE SEATING.  

Our online reservations are for "first-available" seating. We do not reserve specific indoor or courtyard tables for reservations made online. When you check-in at our host station, we will try to accommodate a specific seating request, but sorry, no guarantees. Please plan accordingly. Be sure you've checked the weather forecast ahead of time, and consider wearing your favorite beachwear on hot days or your furry, cold-weather flip flops and a few layers on those chillier  winter nights. 

TWO, THREE or FOUR. WHAT IF THERE'S MORE?

We only accept online reservations for parties of two, three or four people. We do not accept larger group reservations without prior management approval. If you have a larger group, please send us a message from our Contact Us page and we will reply to you, normally with an hour or two. 

RESERVATION CAPACITY AND WALK-INS.

We try to limit our online reservations so we leave a few open tables for walk-in guests. If you're unable to make a reservation online, we may be holding back some tables for walk-ins. Please stop by our host desk and get on the walk-in list right when we open. 

YELP RESERVATIONS ONLY, NO GOOGLE, OPENTABLE, OR OTHER SOURCES...

We ONLY accept online reservations made from the integrated Yelp reservation button at the bottom of this page. We DO NOT accept reservations made through Google Assistant, OpenTable, or any other online platform that may claim they made (or will make) a reservation for you. Don't believe them - you do not have a reservation. You will receive a text message or email confirmation from us (via Yelp) at the time you make your online reservation, and again 24 hours prior to your scheduled seating time. Be sure you click to confirm it so we know you're coming.

NO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS PLEASE. CARRIER PIGEONS APPROVED.

Please do not request reservations by phone, voicemail, email, or text message. It is unlikely that we will have time to respond. However, if we receive a written reservation request flown in by carrier pigeon we will give you a ton of extra credit and find a table for you. We will write the date and time of  your reservation on a note, humanely attach it to your pigeon, and instruct it to return to its coop as soon as it leaves our bistro. Please note, we've seen many a pigeon enjoying a little wine tasting on Main Street, so be sure your feathered friend knows its way home. 

WHAT'S ON THE MENU? 

Our menu incorporates some delicious southern dishes, as well as Cajun, Caribbean, and Jamaican flavors and fare. We use family recipes, farm fresh ingredients, and flavorful island seasonings and spices to give your taste buds a delicious break from the everyday stuff you're probably bored of at other restaurants. Our menus are posted on our Current Menus page.  

CORKAGE FEE.

We charge a $20 corkage fee with a maximum of two 750ml bottles of outside wine allowed per table, regardless of how many guests are in your group. Try some of the local wines we carry - we have a pretty nice list!  

PARKING. BRING YOUR WALKING SHOES AND PLAN AHEAD.

If you're lucky enough to be a resident of Sutter Creek or a nearby town you know how hard finding parking is anywhere in the downtown historic district where Bistro49 is located - especially on busy weekends! If you are driving here, give yourself at least 15 minutes to locate a parking spot and walk to our restaurant in time for your reservation. We'd hate to think you skipped out on your reservation and give your table away to another guest, when you were actually just searching all over the city for a parking spot. 

There is a small parking lot directly across from our front entrance gates on Eureka Street, and another small lot behind the Sutter Creek Auditorium (walk over the foot bridge to get to Bistro49). There are numerous parking spots along Main Street, and a large public lot on Gopher Flat Road just beyond the Sutter Creek Post Office that's a quick five minute walk (or less) to our restaurant.

FOOD ALLERGIES? 

If you or your guests have a severe food allergy (think "EpiPen" severe), please contact us before making a reservation. We need to know. We need to highlight your allergies in our reservation book ahead of time, and we may be able to offer some suitable menu suggestions.

SUBSTITUTIONS? VARIATIONS?

Our delicious, creative menu is not well suited for substitutions or variations but we're happy to accommodate modification requests as much as reasonably possible. Chat with your server about your request and let us try to work a little culinary magic for you. 

KIDS MENU? HIGH-CHAIRS?

We don't have a specific menu for the little ones. We taught all of our own kids about great food and flavors at an early age, and we hope you will, too. Kids love our Cajun Lobster Mac & Cheese (so do adults!), so you can't go wrong, there. We may be able to adapt some of our menu items for the younger ones, and your server will offer a few suggestions based on the current menu selections.

We do have one high chair. It may be available when you visit, but no guarantees. Please plan for alternate seating for the little ones, just in case.

We love to see our guests taking lots of photos of their food, the restaurant, the courtyard, and Chef KC and Chef Rodney's smiling faces! If you take any great photos we would love a copy of them. Email your best  photos to chris[at]bistro49suttercreek[dot]com and we might add them to our website or social media feeds (if we do, you'll probably receive a Bistro49 gift card from us!).

WE WANT TO EARN A FIVE-STAR REVIEW FROM YOU.  

Nothing else is acceptable to us. Ever. For realzies. Five stars. Not one, two, three, or four. 

If we don't deliver a five-star dining experience, please tell us. We want to know, and we want to make it right. Really, we do. If you fail to tell us we won't know, and the last thing we want is to find out we had an issue you didn't tell us about while you were here.
